Projective planes and congestion-free networks
نویسنده
چکیده
| The design of networks using broadcast media so that every two sites lie on a common link, subject to constraints on the number of links at each site (degree), and the number of sites on each link (link size), is examined. A method proposed by Yener, Ofek, and Yung is shown to fail in general to achieve the minimum link size for a speciied degree constraint. The existence of (k; n)-arcs in projective planes is employed to improve upon their results.

Projective Planes, Coverings and a Network Problem
A problem concerning packet switched networks leads to a natural combinatorial design problem, whose solution involves (k; n)-arcs in projective planes, 3-dimensional linear codes, the theory of fractional matchings and designs which approximate projective planes.
متن کاملON PROJECTIVE L- MODULES
The concepts of free modules, projective modules, injective modules and the likeform an important area in module theory. The notion of free fuzzy modules was introducedby Muganda as an extension of free modules in the fuzzy context. Zahedi and Ameriintroduced the concept of projective and injective L-modules. In this paper we give analternate definition for projective L-modules. We prove that e...
متن کاملCongestion Control Approaches Applied to Wireless Sensor Networks: A Survey
Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are a specific category of wireless ad-hoc networks where their performance is highly affected by application, life time, storage capacity, processing power, topology changes, the communication medium and bandwidth. These limitations necessitate an effective data transport control in WSNs considering quality of service, energy efficiency, and congestion control. ...
متن کاملImprovement of the mechanism of congestion avoidance in mobile networks
Mobile ad hoc network congestion control is a significant problem. Standard mechanism for congestion control (TCP), the ability to run certain features of a wireless network, several mutations are not common. In particular, the enormous changes in the network topology and the joint nature of the wireless network. It also creates significant challenges in mobile ad hoc networks (MANET), density ...
متن کاملAn Adaptive Congestion Alleviating Protocol for Healthcare Applications in Wireless Body Sensor Networks: Learning Automata Approach
Wireless Body Sensor Networks (WBSNs) involve a convergence of biosensors, wireless communication and networks technologies. WBSN enables real-time healthcare services to users. Wireless sensors can be used to monitor patients’ physical conditions and transfer real time vital signs to the emergency center or individual doctors. Wireless networks are subject to more packet loss and congestion. T...
